Welcome To Sensory Street
Since 2011, Sensory Street (SSPOT) has been committed to supporting children with developmental, cognitive, and physical challenges through occupational therapy and family-centered services. While we began as a clinic-based pediatric OT practice, we have evolved to meet families where they are — in schools, in homes, and in the community.
We now provide school-based OT services, home-based early intervention in partnership with select EI agencies, and consultation and advocacy for families, educators, and therapy providers. We also guide and support private practices, helping them grow and navigate the challenges of delivering high-quality pediatric services.
Our team brings over 25 years of combined experience in pediatric occupational therapy. We are passionate about empowering families and professionals, advocating during IEP meetings, mentoring new private practice therapists, and ensuring every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential.
Our mission is to empower children to achieve independence in their daily lives by providing occupational therapy, advocacy, and expert guidance across home, school, and community settings. We support parents, educators, and providers with practical strategies and personalized resources to help children succeed in self-care, learning, play, and social participation.
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy (OT) is a health profession that helps people across the lifespan participate in the activities they need and want to do daily. Pediatric OT helps children with disabilities and those recovering from injuries engage in school, play, socialization, and age-appropriate self-care activities. Interventions involve evidence-based strategies and parent education to promote independence. Therapists develop individualized plans and goals after conducting evaluations and family interviews — essential for the best outcomes and client satisfaction.
